Tranzyt Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and personal information in the same way we do our own. The security of your information is our priority. This privacy policy describes what information we may collect from Sender/Receiver (Parties) and Drivers, and how we use it to connect Sender/Receiver (Parties) with drivers to help you get your goods delivered from point A to point B. To do that, we need to collect, use, and share some of your personal information.  

Please read our Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand who will have access to that information. If you do not agree within anything in this Privacy Policy do not use any of our Services or give us any of your information. You should also review our Terms and Conditions, they also apply to your use of our websites and mobile applications. 

BY USING OUR SERVICE, IT SHALL BE DEEMED THAT YOU HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED AND AGREED TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND HAVE FULLY CONSENTED TO THE COLLECTION, STORAGE, USE, PROCESSING, SHARING AND UPDATING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING OUR SERVICE. 

1. Scope 

This Privacy Policy applies to any data received from our websites and our mobile applications (“Services”), and applies the same to all of our users, whether they’re using our Services to send or receive goods with a Driver (“Sender/Receiver”) (Parties), Driver who deliver goods (“Driver”). 

2. Collection of Information 

A. Information You Provide to Us 

Personal Information Collection. When you register to use our Services, you will create a user account and may be required to give us your name, email address, and mobile number, birth date, and payment information. You may choose to share additional info with us for your Tranzyt profile, like your photo or saved addresses (e.g., home or work). We do not collect or retain any personal information unless you choose to provide it to us. 

Business Information Collection. When you register to use our Services, you will create a user account or you can also add a Business account to your Personal account, which required to give us a designated business information, such as: business name, your job title, business address, type of business, number of locations, email address, phone number, business license and payment method. We also may give your participating organization the opportunity to add users to your business account and may be required to give us their full name, mobile number, job title, and the user business location, so that they can request a delivery on your behalf.  

Payment Method. When you add a credit card or payment method to your Tranzyt account, a third party that handles payments for us will receive your card information. To keep your financial data secure, we do not store full credit card information on our servers. 

Ratings and Feedback. When you rate and write a feedback about Senders, Receivers, Drivers you choose to share with others through features which may be provided on our Services, we collect all of the information you provide. 

Driver Application Information. If you decide to apply to join our Tranzyt driver community, we will collect the information you provide in your application, including your name, email address, phone number, birth date, profile photo, physical address, government identification number (such as social security number), driver’s license information, vehicle information, and car insurance information.  

Driver Payment Information. To make sure Drivers get paid, we collect the payment information you provide us, including your bank routing numbers, and tax information. We share this information with our partners who help us by running background checks on Drivers to help protect the Tranzyt community. 

Customer Support. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you. We collect the information that you provide, including the contents of messages or attachments you send us, and other information you choose to provide. 

B. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Tranzyt Services 

Location Information. Tranzyt is all about connecting Sender/Receiver and Drivers. When you open Tranzyt on your mobile device, we receive your location. We collect location information (including GPS and Wi-Fi data) differently depending on your Tranzyt app settings and device permissions as well as whether you are using the Tranzyt mobile application as a Sender/Receiver or Driver, including while the app is running in the background from the time you request a delivery until it ends.  

We may also collect the precise location of your device when the app is running in the background. If you label certain locations, such as “home” and “work,” we receive that information, too.  

Your location information is necessary for things like matching Sender/Receiver with nearby Drivers, determining drop off and pick up locations, so the driver is able to find the location for the pick-up and drop-off. Our Services may include feature that allow Sender/Receiver to share the delivery location using a live map and Drivers also can share their car’s location with family and friends if you choose. 

We will not share this information with third parties for any purpose and will only use this information for the sole purpose of providing you with the ability to request a pick-up and drop-off via Tranzyt’s mobile application.  

Usage Information. In addition to any information that you choose to submit to us, we automatically collect information about your use of the Tranzyt Services, including pick-up and drop-off information, item details, date, time, destination, distance, route, payment, and whether you used a promotional or referral code. We also collect information about your interactions with the Services like our websites and apps, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed on the website or app.  

Communications Between Sender/Receiver (Parties) and Drivers. We collect information about these communications, including the participants’ phone numbers, the date and time, the contents of SMS messages and the contents of chat made through the Tranzyt Apps.  For security purposes and to improve the quality of our customer service, we may also monitor or record the contents of phone calls made through the Tranzyt Platform, but we will always let you know we are about to do so before the call begins.  

Address Book Contacts. You may set your device permissions to grant and direct Tranzyt access to your contact lists. For example, to help you select Sender/Receiver phone number, help you to refer friends to Tranzyt. If you do this, we will access and store the names and contact information of the people in your address book. 

Device Information. We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers and mobile network information. 

Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies. We and our service providers use various technologies to collect information, including cookies and web beacons. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve our Services and your experience, see which areas and features of our Services are popular, report ad impressions, interactions with ad impressions and ad services, and count visits.  

C. Information We Collect from Third Parties 

Third Party Services. Third party services provide us with information needed for core aspects of the Tranzyt Platform, background check providers (for Drivers), financial service providers, insurance partners, marketing providers, and other businesses. 

Referral Programs. Friends help friends use the Tranzyt Platform. If someone refers you to Tranzyt, we will collect information about you from that referral including your name and contact information. 

Other Parties and Sources. Other users or public or third-party sources such as law enforcement, insurers, media, or pedestrians may provide us information about you, for example as part of an investigation into an incident or to provide you support. 

3. Use of Information 

We may use information about you for various purposes, including to: 

  • Provide, maintain and improve our Services; 

  • To comply with applicable law and legal process; 

  • Provide, communicate about and deliver the products and services you request, process transactions and send you related information, including confirmations and invoices; 

  • Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages; 

  • Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service; 

  • Communicate between users regarding their delivery progress, to choose to share delivery location with others, products, services, and offers offered by Tranzyt and others; 

  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our Services; 

  • Personalize and improve the Services and provide advertisements, content or features that match user profiles or interests; 

  • Facilitate the functionality of our website and mobile application;

  • Enforce our terms and conditions;

  • Protect our operations, rights, privacy, safety or property, security and/or that of you or others;

  • Allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain;

If you submit any information relating to other people in connection with the Services, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Tranzyt does not sell or share user personal data with third parties for their direct marketing, except with users’ consent. 

4. Sharing of Information 

Information Between Users  

Sender/Receiver Information Shared with Driver. We provide some of your personal information, such as your first name, photo, and details about your Item, to the Driver who accepts your delivery request, so that the Driver can verify Sender/Receiver information and item details upon pickup/drop-off locations, contact the Sender/Receiver, facilitate pick-up and delivery, and so that you can track the item. 

Driver Information Shared with Sender/Receiver. We may share data with the Sender(s)/Receiver(s), and business partner(s), including name and photo; vehicle make, model, color, license plate; location (before and during delivery); average rating provided by users; total number of trips; length of use of the Tranzyt app; contact information (depending upon applicable laws); and driver profile, including compliments and other feedback submitted by past users.  

Third Parties Providing Services on Our Behalf. Tranzyt ,uses third party vendors to assist in providing the Services to Users. We may provide these vendors with access to the following categories of personal information. 

We may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy: 

  • Between and Tranzyt provides data to vendors, consultants and lawyers, accountants, and other professional service providers; 

  • With third parties for their own services and marketing purposes, including social media advertising services, Data analytics providers;

  • In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation or legal process; 

  • If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Tranzyt or others; 

  • In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company; 

  • Payment processors and facilitators

  • Background check and identity verification providers (to verify that drivers and their vehicles meet safety requirements) 

  • Airports 

  • With your consent or at your direction

  • We may also share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you

5. Legal Reasons  

Tranzyt fully cooperates with all government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law and may do so in cooperation with third parties such as copyright owners, Internet service providers, wireless service providers and/or law enforcement agencies. 

In providing such cooperation, we may access, use, preserve, transfer and disclose your Personal Information and other information to these third parties as we reasonably determine to be necessary and appropriate to:  

  • Satisfy any applicable law, regulation and subpoenas; 

  • Governmental requests or legal process; 

  • Protect the safety of you; 

  • Exercise or defend legal claims, rights, property or security of our Services or any third party;  

  • Protect the safety of the public;  

  • To detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; and/or to prevent or stop activity we reasonably consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, an illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity.  

6. Security of Your Information 

We take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. We do not accept liability for unintentional disclosure. 

By using the Service or providing Personal Information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Service. If we learn of a security system’s breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Service or sending an e-mail to you. You may have a legal right to receive this notice in writing. 

7. Advertising and Analytics Services Provided by Others 

We use services from Google, Facebook and other third party providers to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and to provide analytics services. These entities may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information.  

This information may be used by Tranzyt and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Services and other websites and better understand your online activity. 

8. Choices Regarding Your Data  

All Users 

Profile Information. You can review and edit certain account information you have chosen to add to your profile by logging in to your account settings and profile. 

Location InformationYou can prevent your device from sharing location information through your device’s system settings. But if you do, this may impact Tranzyt’s ability to provide you our full range of features and services. 

CookieYou can modify your cookie settings on your browser, but if you delete or choose not to accept our cookies, you may be missing out on certain features of the Tranzyt Platform. 

Promotional Communications. You may opt out of receiving promotional mails, push notifications or text messages from Tranzyt by following the instructions in those communications or by adjusting the settings on your mobile device. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, products or services you've requested or our ongoing business relations. 

Do Not Track. Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and applications and services that you do not want them to track your online activities. The Tranzyt Platform does not currently support Do Not Track requests at this time. 

Deleting Your Account. If you would like to delete your Tranzyt account, please contact us at support@tranzyt.app. In some cases, we will be unable to delete your account, such as if there is an issue with your account related to trust, safety, or fraud. When we delete your account, we may retain certain information for legitimate business purposes or to comply with legal or regulatory and contractual obligations, (including geo-location, trip history, credit card information and transaction history) as needed to resolve disputes, conclude any activities related to cancellation of an account (such as addressing chargebacks from your credit card company), investigate or prevent fraud and other inappropriate activity, to enforce our agreements, and for other business reasons. When we retain such data, we do so in ways designed to prevent its use for other purposes. 

9. Push Notifications and Delivery Updates 

Tranzyt provides users with delivery status notifications and updates related to activity on their account. These notifications are a necessary part of using the Tranzyt app and cannot be disabled. 

10. Content and Links to Third Party 

When you are using our Services, you may be directed to other sites that are operated and controlled by third parties that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of any third party and these third parties may have privacy policies that differ from ours or may not have their own published privacy policies. We are not responsible for those websites, and we recommend that you read the privacy statements of all third party web sites before submitting any of your Personal Information to third parties.  

11. Device Permissions 

Most mobile device platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without the device owner’s permission, and these platforms have different methods for how that permission can be obtained. iOS devices notify users the first time the Tranzyt app requests permission to access certain types of data and gives users the option to grant or refuse permission. Android devices notify users of the permissions that the Tranzyt app seeks before their first use of the app, and use of the app constitutes a grant of such permission. 

12. Children’s Privacy 

We do not knowingly collect information from minors and no one under 18 is allowed to sign up with or use the Tranzyt Services. We will take steps to delete it immediately if we learn we have collected it. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information from a person under 18 years of age, and no part of the Tranzyt Service is directed to minors under the age of 18. If you learn that your minor has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, you may alert us at support@tranzyt.app.  

13. Changes to Our Privacy Policy 

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our information practices. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Privacy Policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify users in advance of the changes through the Tranzyt apps or through other means, such as email. We encourage users to periodically review this Privacy Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices. When you use Tranzyt, you are agreeing to the most recent terms of this policy.
